Ruth is a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctorate in Nursing. She has worked in several areas such as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), pediatric home care, and Mental Health Counseling. She combined these careers and earned a master’s degree in psychiatric/mental health nursing. As an PMHNP she worked in a psychiatric hospital and various community mental health care hospitals. She later earned her Doctorate in Nursing. Ruth is also an Associate Professor at Brandman University where she teaches doctoral students and psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
Ruth is co-owner of a billing and practice management company, Sunrise Psychiatric Associates. She divides her time residing between Oregon and Florida.
